‘Half Truths’, the latest offering from Harry Christelis and his long-standing quartet, invites you into an immersive world of sonic textures and landscapes, fusing acoustic jazz instrumentation with ambient drones and electronics. Dancing seamlessly between what is known and unknown, this original contemporary jazz quartet of highly acclaimed musicians break out from the traditional roles of the genre, and instead focus on a truly communal approach to colour, shape, and delineate the subjective truths of each piece.
This short but substantial EP is the first taste of a larger body of work to come from Christelis on the contemporary music label Clonmell Jazz Social, with his next album ‘Preserving Fictions’ set for release in early 2026.
