Preserving Fictions’ is the 2026 album release from guitarist and composer Harry Christelis, and explores the idea of music being a way to preserve and document the seeming truths that we see, hear, feel, and experience everyday. Across this album, Christelis delves deeper into a sound world that has become synonymous with his name, fusing elements of jazz tradition with ambient drones and delicate electronic textures to create a truly immersive listening experience.

Featuring his long-standing quartet of Christos Stylianides (trumpet), Andrea Di Biase (double bass) and Dave Storey (drums), the highly acclaimed musicians of this group constantly break out from the traditional roles of the genre, and instead focus on a truly communal approach to their improvisations as they colour, shape, and delineate each piece. Across the adventurous album, the listener is taken on a journey that spans across dreamy psychedelic trips, intimate moments of sombre quiet, and bursts of furious energy, all while being seamlessly glued together through a sound that is unfamiliar yet comforting, enchanting yet melancholic, and intense yet beautiful.
